He was born and raised in Arkansas, but has worked for several organizations in southern Florida, including University of Florida-Ft. Lauderdale and the Conservancy of South Florida. His research interests include salt balance (osmoregulation) and vertebrate taxonomy. He resides in Austin, Texas.|
