plant community wet, humid, Patagonian maritime rainforest on volcanic soils on the Estero El Salto at the north end of Lago Riesco. -41.46557,-72.73330 elv. 85' (26m)notes foliage view. NOTE: distinctive pairing of leaves from same node, one typically lanceolate and the other smaller and ovate. Photos taken in a small, private but well managed, park-like preserve of coastal rainforest flora, with a spectacular roaring waterfall, on the large flat estuary above the northern shore of Lake Riesco. Shrub or small tree, native to temperate regions of southern Chile and Argentina.keywords: SA, Chile
