Edgewood County Park and Natural Preserve (San Mateo County, California, US)notes There is no pappus visible for this individual plant...but all the many Microseris that were in fruit nearby had the very short pappus scales of M. douglasii ssp. tenella...so it's probable this was that subspecies as well. (I did see a very few M. d. ssp. douglasii in the area, but the closest one was a few hundred feet away.)photo category: Plant - annual/perennial
