Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, Rhododendron Trail, ~2.5 miles up from Brown Creek trailhead (Humboldt County, California, US)habitat old growth coast redwood standnotes Found in AM by Sandra Healy, lying along side of trail, our follow-up pursuit was from 1800-2000., egg shell was lying where it was originally found. Appears freshly laid (bright color), but shell appeared predated, yolk still visible, shell cracks appear from strong, straight bill.From the collection of Humboldt State Wildlife Museum photo category: Animal - Bird
