  • notes   in mixed volcanic/limestone alluvial sands & small gravels of shallow arroyo drainage crossing road. Densely pubescent with long hairs to 3 mm, occasionally terminally once branched, over understory of short glandular hairs. Pubescence tends to capture and hold windblown sand grains and organic detritus.
