  • plant community   P. adriaanii is only known from a small distribution area in the Namaqualand Division of the Northern Cape Province, South Afric
  • notes   A deciduous dwarf shrublet with succulent stems, reaching 0.5 m in height when in flower and 0.8 in in diam., errect in the beginning, subsequently decumbent. A thickened taproot branches out in a depth of about 10 cm, lateral roots growing horizontally, partially tuberous. Sterns fleshy, 2-3 cm thick, regularly branched. Bark smooth, silver-grey.
