plant community river riparian corridor in desert scrub at 2871' (875m)notes large shrub, forming thickets scattered along river bank in alkaline, calcareous soils for about a mile south of Candelaria. An extreme eastern disjunct population from southern AZ/CAL, likely naturalized escapes from earlier local agricultural/soil conservation activities.keywords: CDR, Chihuahuan Desert
