  • notes   Plants scattered on open degraded grassland, gravelly volcanic soils over basalt substrate. Leaf view. Note small, coarse, barbed hairs which provide the tightly clinging 'velcro' or 'stick tight' effect the foliage of this and other members of the genus display when brushed against clothing or hair.
