plant community pine-juniper-oak woodland at 4905' (1495m)notes on shaded cliff face of pink to grey basaltic rhyolite. Papillate, bluish green, congested hemispheric heads are current years' growth; pendant reddish to pale green stems are previous years' growth producing flowers.keywords: SMOc
