notes Detail of the bracts and calyces of the congested flowering head. The density, placement, and glandularity of hairs on the calyces are often used as a key character in Leptosiphon. Here the calyces have tiny glands at the tips of the hairs, which are present both along the edges of the calyces (i.e. ciliate), as well as within the interior of the abaxial (outer) faces of the calyx lobes.photo category: Plant - annual/perennial
