plant community pine-oak-madrone woodland at 2390m (7840')notes plants trailside on dry slope of narrow canyon in deeply eroded escarpment of volcanic tuff forming continental divide. Massive rock hodoos (the Monks) makes this area incredibly scenic in addition to richly diverse botanically.
