  • notes   Growing in a wet area along a tributary brook to Butano Creek.

    Detail of the central portion of a (mostly pistillate) inflorescence spike. Though its hard to make out, there are 2 stigmas per flower, and the yellow-green perigynia are glabrous with the beak subtly bidentate (see pink arrow). The scales subtending each perigynium are long-acuminate to awned.
