Plainview (Hale County, Texas, US)notes About a dozen pieces of this brecciated meteorite were found in Hale County, Texas, from 1915 to 1917. More than 900 more pieces were found in the 1930s and 1940s. These specimens are classifed as Chondrites of the H5 subgroup. H-Chondrites exhibit the highest iron content. Those of petrologic group 5 show significantl alteration by heat metamorphism.keywords: Geology, earth science, mineral, mineralogy, meteorite, chondrite
