notes Leaves on lower portion of plant. Note that..apart from the somewhat ovate-oblanceolate leaves at the upper right of the photo...the leaves were mostly narrowly linear-oblanceolate (1-5mm x 10-25 mm); reduced upward; green; sessile (tapering to base), flat; with 1 prominent vein (midrib); with margins widely and shallowly sinuate, minutely few-toothed; and virtually glabrous except for a few short, flattened, semi-translucent, white trichomes along margins of lower leaf bases (5 of those trichomes are barely visible on 2 leaves in this image...but are more clearly discernible in this image).
