  • plant community   Chihuahuan Desert scrub at 1086 m (3650')
  • notes   plants on an open exposed rockface of gypseous limestone of a foothill on the NW edge of the Sierra Parras, with Anulocaulis eriosolenus, Opuntia rufida, Agave asperrima, Jatropha dioica, Selaginella lepidophylla, Sericodes greggii. Acleisanthes angustifolia, Talinopsis frutescens. SYN: Acacia crassifolia. Confused with Bauhinia lunaroides by some sources but readily distinguished by the flowers.
