  • location   Immediately north of the Anderson Lake spillway on south facing slope. (Santa Clara County, California, US)
  • family Asteraceae
  • notes   Many thousands of plants along length of spillway. Plants often scattered in small colonies in open areas within chaparral, less frequent in understory of associate shrubs and trees. One large and dense colony was observed near the top of the slope- visible from road on opposite side of spillway. Plans largely in flower at time of photo.
