INFORMATION PROVIDED WITH THE PHOTO
  • date of photo  unknown
  • location   Dja Reserve, Cameroon/ Bamenda Highlands, Cameroon (Cameroon)
  • family Hyperoliidae
  • order Anura
  • class Amphibia
  • notes   The degree of sexual dichromatism in the genus Hyperolius varies greatly. In some species such as H. mosaicus, male and female frogs appear nearly identical. In others, such as H. bolifambae, females have more saturated color and more well defined markings but color and pattern are similar. In some species such as H. riggenbachi male and female frogs are so different that one would be hard pressed realize that they are the same species.
