  • family Pteridaceae
  • notes   different keys or descriptions indicate different taxa. var. californica is supposed to have recurved segments that more or less meet but not have three parted basal segments, as is here; var. mucronata is supposed to have black or dark brown stipes, which does not appear to be the case here.
