plant community Mesic to wet forest 430-1130mnotes This species is endemic to the island of Hawai'i. This species was recently added to the Endangered Species list (Oct., 2013). Elevation of this plant is around 3220ft/982m. The site where this plant was found receives around 240 inches of rain per year.
