  • plant community   tropical deciduous scrub at 5010' with Lantana, Tecoma, Waltheria, Solanum.
  • notes   west facing, lower canyon slope. NOTE: a confused taxa in need of clarification. Popular descriptions/photos are often based on horticultural selections usually crossed with S. farinaceae. Contrary to those sources, wild plants do produce long, often interrupted, spicate inflorescences of sky blue flowers to 3'.
