  • location   Lava Beds National Monument. Near Tulelake (Siskiyou County, California, US)
  • notes   This basalt flow on the northern flank of the Medicine Lake Volcano emerged from a vent at Mammoth Crater about 65,000 years ago. The total volume of this flow is estimated to be about one cubic mile. The flow contains many lava tubes, some extending as far as 15 miles.
