Lava Beds National Monument. Near Tulelake (Siskiyou County, California, US)notes This basalt flow on the northern flank of the Medicine Lake Volcano emerged from a vent at Mammoth Crater about 65,000 years ago. The total volume of this flow is estimated to be about one cubic mile.
