habitat Wet-evergreen forestnotes Pseudocalotes andamanensis was described by G. A. Boulenger (as Calotes andamanensis) from Andaman Islands in 1891 based on a single specimen collected by Adolph deRoepstorff. It's locality was considered to be in doubt and there was an erroneous report from Western Ghats in South India in 1999.
