  • notes   Slo.: pritlikavi alpski zvonček - Habitat: Alpine grassland rich in humus, in a snow valley, almost flat terrain, partly acid ground, average precipitation ~ 3.000 mm/year, average temperature 0-2 deg/C, elevation 1.970 m (6.450 feet), alpine phytogeographical region. - Substratum: soil. - Comment: Soldanella pusilla is the rarest of all three species of the genus Soldanella (S. alpina, S. minima, S. pusilla) growing in Slovenia. It is known only from high regions of Julian Alps and from a few observations in Karavanke mountains. It can be distinguished from much more common S. alpina based on smaller size, less deeply cleft corolla and small, to some extent cordate, leaves. - (1) A.Martinči et all., Mala Flora Slovenije, Tehnična Založba Slovenije (2007), p 477.
