  • notes   Endemic to Hawaiian Islands. These plants are now becoming uncommon (listed as 'vulnerable') due to coastline development, grazing and invasive, non-native plants. The flowers open at sunset and are pollinated at night by native moths. By morning, the flowers are fading and turning a pale pink.
