  • notes   This rare and endangered tree is endemic to Kauai and is only found in 2 places. A knowledgeable source reports that only 10 male trees and 0 female trees currently exist (dioecious). This stand was near the road growing beneath larger Koa (Acacia koa) trees on the edge of grassy field. Photo shows a male flower. Elevation approximately 3600ft/1098m.
