  • notes   Detail of terminal inflorescences of Euphorbia exstipulata. You can make out the white gland appendages here, and the (very subtle) leaf serration of a few leaves. This is another plant that is quite rare in CA and reaches its western-most (currently known) stations in the New York and nearby Clark Mountains, though it occurs more abundantly to the east, with its epicenter of distribution in SE Arizona (see this this range map). The plant at lower right is a cousin, Chamaesyce serphyllifolia.
