  • notes   Habit of the diminutive Streptanthus callistus...height is about 4-6 cm. Note the terminal ''flag'' of sterile florets on the inflorescence and the short, bristly, hairs on the calyces. Growing on sloping gravelly/rocky shale-derived substrate in openings surrounded by chamise-dominated chaparral.
