Growing with Pinus monophylla, Juniperus osteosperma, Cylindropuntia acanthacarpa, Echinocereus triglochidiatus var. mojavensis, Opuntia ericacea var. hystricina, O. basilaris, O. curvospina, Lycium cooperi, Salvia dorrii, Berberis, Pleuraphis jamesii and Bouteloua eriopoda.
