location
Titus Canyon. Death Valley National Park (Inyo County, California, US)notes Petroglyph carved by Native Americans, probably by ancestors of the modern Shoshone. These images are chipped onto the surface of stream-polished boulders of the Bonanza King Formation, an extremely hard, partly-metamorphized dolomite. The rock is so hard that the creaters of these images could do little more than barely chip the surface.keywords: archeology
