  • notes   The 'Birth Scene' Petroglyph, carved into a boulder of Entrada Sandstone by Native Americans. While scenes depicticting childbirth are common in the rock art of Aboriginal people in Australia, they are rare in the rock art of North America. This famous panel is the best know example of a childbirth scene. These petroglyphs were created by the Fremont people and are generally thought to date from A.D. 600-1300. On BLM land in Kane Creek Canyon.
