Campanulaceae
notes Habit of a 'threadstem plant' in fruit. This keyed well to Nemacladus capillaris in the Jepson Manual treatment. Note the red stems; fairly straight pedicels; zig-zag inflorsecence; and acute bases of the developing fruits. The flowers were exceedingly small (even for a Nemacladus :-) Found growing in a large open, rocky, volcanic bald within surrounding coniferous forests at approximately 6700' elevation. photo category: Plant - annual/perennial
