notes Leaves, pedicel, flower. I didn't key this in the field, but going from the photos and using the Jepson Manual treatment for Hesperolinon, this seems to fit best with H. clevelandii. There are also a number of records of H. clevelandii from very nearby, e.g. UC571587, UC571588,RSA23389, and JEPS101018. However, the description in the Jepson Manual treatment states: ''FL: sepals 1.5-2.5 mm; petals 0.5-1.5 mm, yellow; stamens 1.5-3 mm''... which doesn't seem to jibe with the flowers from this plant (i.e. the petals are longer than the sepals, and the stamens are shorter than the petals). Nevertheless, overall this seems like the best fit.photo category: Plant - annual/perennial
