Bovec basin, west of Bovec, near the trail to Plužna village, East Julian Alps (Posoèje, Slovenia)notes Slo.: pozni zgrušèevec - Habitat: mixed woodland, nearly flat ground, cretaceous clastic rock (flysh), rain partly protected from direct rain, mostly in shade, precipitations ~3.000 mm/year, average temperature 8-10 deg C, altitude 430 m (1.400 feet), alpine phytogeographical region. - Substratum: fallen and partly rotten trunk of a hardwood tree, probably Carpinus betulus. - Comments: several fruitbodies, pileus width up to 6 cm (2.3 inch), smell indistinctive, SP white, flesh flexible. Spores: smooth, sausage shaped, thin; dimensions 4.7 (SD = 0.4) x 1.3 (SD = 0.1) micr., Q = 3.70 (SD = 0.30), n = 30. Motic B2-211A, magnification 1.000 x, oil, in water.
