notes Vertical view of congested head-like inflorescence. Note glandularity. In addition to the obvious hairiness and glandularity, a key distinguishing character for both N. mellita and (the generally larger) N. squarrosa is the very short stamens that barely ''peak out'' of the corolla throat.
