plant community opening in mixed coniferous forestnotes slightly removed from the wild, following the first soaking rains, a chasmogamous flower from a Bonny Doon Violet, a violet that seldom produces chasmogamous flowers. the flower is slightly wilted and bruised, but the photo clearly shows that there is not even one hair in the beard. however, on the other side of the flower, hairs have joints and hairskeywords: bonny doon violet, beard
