Kopa, 1,438 m (4,718feet), East Julian Alps (Posoèje, Slovenia)notes Slo.: pegasta korenovka - syn.: Phodocollybia maculata - Habitat: Very steep primary mixed forest, northeast oriented, with little ground vegetation, limestone bedrock, humid place in deep shade, partly protected from direct rain by tree canopies, average precipitations ~ 3.000 mm/year, average temperature 6-8 deg C, elevations 800 m (2,600 feet), alpine phytogeographical region. - Substratum: soil and humus, needles and leaves, under a group of Picea abies. - Comments: Growing in scattered groups, pileus diameter from 4 to 8 cm, taste unpleasant, somewhat bitter, smell pleasant, mushroomy, spore print beige.
