notes Adult Pelodytes sp. was caught at a location suspected to be the hybridization area of two species: Pelodytes ibericus and a Pelodytes species only present in SW Portugal (not Pelodytes punctatus). Sequence data revealed that individuals collected in this area are Pelodytes ibericus. The toe of this individual was clipped to collect its DNA.
