  • location   Bryce Canyon National Park: Under the Rim Trail, Pasture Wash, just east of wash crossing point (Garfield County, Utah, US)
  • family Viperidae
  • notes   Tail end of immature snake crossing trail, with only a few buttons on the rattle. It let me photograph it through telephoto, but when I tried to move closer than four or five feet, it moved off into the undergrowth, never buzzing during the encounter. Elevation ca. 7,350 feet. 3:44 pm.
