notes This species is common along the bluffs of San Pedro/Palos Verdes. Once, I found part of a plant that had broken off and fallen down on the shore and was in the intertidal zone. So, I took it home and grew it in a pot. It did really well and flowered. However, it's life was cut short when my family's cat, Confusion, attacked and destroyed it.
