habitat In central Argentina and adjacent parts of Bolivia, Paraguay, Brazil, and Uruguay.notes The picture shows the stereotypic, immobile posture assumed under stress by some toads from the Mendoza and San Juan Province populations. Note the concave flexing of the body, the contracted arms and legs, and the tighly-closed eyes in this posture.
