  • location   Approximately 2 miles east of San Benito, along NE base of Buck Ridge, Diablo Range (San Benito County, California, US)
  • family Polygonaceae
  • notes   Detail of a single perianth of Eriogonum ordii, in a single terminal, unribbed, involucre on its thread-like capillary peduncle. The involucres were 4-toothed, glabrous, and one to few flowered (at any given time that is...typically involucres of Eriogonum are sequentially many flowered throughout anthesis). The perianths were monomorphic (= all tepals of same size/shape) with dense, short, spreading hairs along the exterior midribs.
