| Reviewer's comments: | | | "Calochortus species in this group are clearly separated by the shape of the hairs covering a "gland." The shape in this photograph is an "M," which is the key characteristic of C. vestae. C. venustus has a rectangular gland hair shape. Also, the location of the photograph confirms this identification as vestae - venustus is not known in this area. " |
