  • notes   The Moon Jellyfish commonly found along the California coast has been widely cited as Aurelia aurita. The Light and Smith Manual, Fourth Edition, says A. aurita in endemic to the Atlantic and Baltic. It identifies the Moon Jellyfish common in the Pacitic as A. labiata.
