INFORMATION PROVIDED WITH THE PHOTO
  • date of photo  Mar 15, 2008
  • location   Burton Mesa, Lompoc (Santa Barbara County, California, US)
  • family Ranunculaceae
  • notes   Three or four plants shown, small examples. This is 'var. filiformis,' growing in humid sand at trail-side, on the northeast side of oak trees, near the edge of the leaf litter apron, on the mesa top. Not a wetland. Rare in this region, re Dieter Wilken of the SBBG. Just a few vague(?) locality records exist.

Action: changed name from "Myosurus minimus" to "Plantago elongata "

    Reviewer's comments:
"Hard to definitively tell, but fruiting structure in photo appears more like Plantago, not Myosurus."
