| Reviewer's comments: | | | "As of yet, no verified specimens of ssp. meridianus are known from the Sierra Nevada. It is currently considered a genetic variant confined to the bay area and N. coast ranges. Many populations of ssp. dichotomus have flowers open at various times before the sun sets or after the sun rises." |
