plant community Shaded open forest on sloped road edges where moist in Springnotes This bulb flowered three years in a row and completely rested the following 2007 season (did not put forth a stem the fourth year). Original plant from near Bear Springs Ranger Station, OR. Habitat of Douglas fir and aquilegia formosa. Soil a mix of angular rock in a volcanic powder. Lilium columbianum nearby but growing along stream edges while LIWA on drier upper slopes.camera Kodak ES Z760
