  • notes   same locale and data as previously entered Haplotrema for this project area: an old-growth coastal spruce stand and intermittent creek area draining directly into the Smith River estuary. From a backwaterarea that is under the large spruce closest to the 2-3 pools surveyed for tidewater gobies from 1998-1999 by Page & Norman (personal observation, unpublished) and by USFWS, Arcata, Northcoast CA Ofice, Distributional Study for TWG (2003-? ): I trapped this same spot with Carl Page (ARS)1998-1999, 2004, 2005; with Forrest Cottrell (USFWS, Arcata Office, HSU Grad.) in 2003-2004; and with my own funding in 2005-2007.
