notes Leaves are facing the sun, as usual. Phototropism is a better word (pardon my 'phototaxis'), but diaheliotropism is best, apparently. In late March 2015, in a drought year, lots of plants were observed with leaflets folded up (cupped), which is paraheliotropism. This annual species is ubiquitous on Burton Mesa, perhaps in large part due to their responses to hydration and insolation...?photo category: Plant - annual/perennial
