         "The low, compact habit of this plant...together with its dense blooms and rocky substrate...make it seem more like Linanthus demissus than Gilia campanulata. Gilia campanulata has a more open inflorescense, with ample pedicels and fairly long corolla tubes, none of which are apparent here."
