  • notes   Ovulid snails are specialists that live and prey only on octocorals, and locally these corals live only in relatively deep water. This gorgonian branch with the attached snail was brought up by a diver from 58 m thus presenting us with the opportunity to photograph it. The octocoral's polyps are retracted.
